Why we started it

Visit (What's next)[edit]

International Visiting Researcher funding from the University. The proposal was to explore how hotwire could be set up as a network (initially across Suzhou and Plymouth, but with the possibility of nodes elsewhere), and to explore how we might support this best through maybe: a website; resources for supporting playing, hands-on ways of exploring low-fi art + technology, community and dialogue; a set of principles / manifesto; and an approach to workshopping that allows it to grow and be autonomous.

Running a seminar next week (Wednesday afternoon?) that will explore some of these ideas more - all welcome.

Provocations[edit]

How to be human - in the age of artificial intelligence - after the end of the world

What to share / how to share situated knowledge through working with the more-than-human (objects, people, species)

We'd like to spend the afternoon t(h)inkering / playing with these ideas, and with dust, vibration, materials.
